Bio

Hi! My name is Brad. I am 36 years old, and I have been a personal trainer for 15 years. I previously worked at Equinox in Scarsdale, NY.

Services

If you want to look fabulous and feel great, it's time to start training with Fitness Made Easy; I come to you, and I bring all the equipment. I mainly work in central Westchester and I am based out of White Plains.

I have multiple certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I am a certified personal trainer with multiple specializations: corrective exercise, senior fitness, golf fitness, weight loss, and fitness nutrition. I am also pre/post natal and kettlebell certified. Lastly, I have a master's degree in physical education and I taught it for five years.

I have worked with many individuals of all ages, ranging from 12- 70+. Everyone has different capabilities, and you need to make sure your trainer is able to work within your limits. Many individuals do not move optimally and when you add weight training to these poor movement patterns, injuries can occur. That is why I stress proper movement, proper bio-mechanics; and my focus in the beginning will be to help you move and lift more bio-mechanically sound, while still working towards your health and fitness goals.

My fitness philosophy is to give you an individualized program that is well-balanced by using a multi-joint (using multiple muscles in one exercise to maximize your workout) and multi-planar (moving in all directions to use all muscle groups to prevent injuries and overuse syndromes) approach that will provide a safe and enjoyable experience.

Unfortunately, there are no quick solutions and no magic pill to help you lose weight no matter what you might read or see on the TV or the internet. If you want results, you need to make changes, start making healthy choices, get into good habits, and work hard. I am here to help you make those changes by giving you proper direction, keeping you focused, and motivating you so you can achieve your goals.

I most recently worked at Equinox in Scarsdale, NY and learned a great deal of new information from their great education process and many wonderful trainers. The day your trainer stops learning is the day you need to find a new trainer. Lastly and most importantly, you need to find a trainer who you connect with and will enjoy working with. I hope that is me, but if not; remember to stay positive and keep working hard. Hope to hear from you soon.

Questions and Answers

Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

My many years of experience and multiple certifications; as well as my detailed oriented and safe approach makes me standout from my competitors. Working recently at Equinox for some time has given me a great new deal of knowledge.
What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy the personal connections I make with my clients. My clients become my friends and some even become like family. I am so happy to see my clients progress both mentally and physically.
If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

You need a combination of strength training, cardiovascular exercise, and proper nutrition to achieve maximum results. You also need to exercise more often than the one to three times you might train with me. Ideally, three sessions with me and two workouts on you own. Nutrition- Small healthy meals every 3-4 hours, lots of water, and limit your sugar intake.
Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

I usually work with those who are beginners to intermediates, whether they are new to working out, or have not worked out in a while, or just been very inconsistant in staying with a program. Most of my clients main goals are weight loss and improving body composition. I tend to focus more on full body workouts as well stressing the importance of correcting muscle imbalances- most people have rounded shoulders and slouch over- they need to focus on strengthening their upper back muscles.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

Make sure they have multiple years of experience because it is pretty easy to become a certified personal trainer. Most importantly, make sure you are comfortable with the trainer. We are Personal Trainers- we must be PERSONABLE and must be able to connect with you. Find a personal trainer that you connect with and will enjoy having that trainer motivate and guide you.
What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

The day a trainer tells you he or she knows everything there is to know about fitness, is the day you need to find a new trainer. There are always new things coming out that transform the way trainers think about training.
 Reviews

Brad assessed me and immediately identified my weaknesses and compensations. Brad then gave me a great workout to help strengthen my weaknesses and correct my imbalances. I was impressed with the efficiency of the total workout. Nice job Brad!   -  Mike H.

Brad is outstanding as a trainer for four primary reasons:

1. He is knowledgeable, patient, personable and effective.
2. Brad makes it virtually impossible to stop the routine because he comes to me at my convenience.
3. He is inexpensive. He is a real value.
4. Brad Is a great guy.

I completely recommend his services.   -   Charles C.

Brad is not only very professional and knowledgeable when it comes to the training he offers, but he's also compassionate, and caring when it comes to my health.
Brad trained me at his prior gym for about 10 months. I appreciated the fact that while he was very conscientious about keeping me on task - both in and out of the gym, he also knew when to back off. He understood that sometimes life presents obstacles to training, and appreciated these factors when it came to my workouts and overall health.     -   Robert M.

Brad has been my personal trainer for many years. He tailors the workout session according to the client's age and ability. He ensures that the workout will be safe but fun always addressing the client's concerns. I strongly recommend Brad as a personal trainer and will continue to work with him in the future.    -   Shirley C.

I have known Brad Jerris and have worked with him often. Most recently I had finished a course of chemo from pancreatic cancer and he helped me restore my muscle tone. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding diet, muscle training and weight loss.    -   Naomi M.

I worked with Brad over the course of a year. I have to say, thanks to him, I was in the best shape of my life. Not only is he a great trainer but is understanding to the unique needs of each client. I was in my 40's when I started with Brad and was very nervous about starting this training process. He couldn't have been more understanding and compassionate. He taught me so much. I would recommend Brad to anyone that is serious about getting in shape.    -   Alex C.
